Description
Are you trying to learn how to cope with your loved one's use of substances?
We know that the lives of individuals who have a close relationship with someone who uses substances in a problematic manner are drastically transformed and negatively impacted. Despite this, there is very little professional support available that is offered in these circumstances. This can lead to major physical, emotional, social, environmental, and financial impacts, and oftentimes, we don't know where to turn from there.
Life Over the Influence is a program developed by Pathways Addictions Resource Centre. Typically, this program has been provided as a 6-week counselling group. However, this course was created to provide another option if the group itself is not available to you for whatever reason.
This course allows you to complete modules at your own pace with on-demand videos and a course companion journal. Through this material, you will be able to explore techniques to support your loved one while simultaneously keeping yourself safe and healthy.
What you'll learn
Impacts of Being "Substance-Affected"
Emotion-Focused Family Therapy Techniques
Caring vs. Caretaking

And MORE!
Requirements
